 In this portion of the website we have given up-to-date information on Cotton starting from October 2000.  (Please remember cotton data in India is given from 1st September of a particular year to 31st October of the next year - it is called cotton year)
 
 

    

Monthly Cotton Consumption by the textile mills in India (excluding small scale / tiny units) starting from October 2000 onward.

    

Cotton Balance Sheets October 2000 onwards - indicating the Opening Stock, Cotton Production, Consumption and Closing Stock at the close of the each cotton year.
 
Monthly Average Cotton Prices -  Cotton Prices starting from 1st Oct. 2000 to 30th Sep.2003 are available only from one single source i.e. East India Cotton Association, Mumbai (EICA).
   

   

However, 1st October 2003 onwards Monthly Average Cotton Prices are available in a single comparative format and in single denomination i.e. per candy (candy = 355.61 kg) from three  cotton sources  i.e. :
 a) East India Cotton Association, Mumbai    - (EICA)
 b) North India Cotton Association, Bhatinda - (NICA)
 c) TECOYA (Textile daily) published from Mumbai.
